It may include the arts of civic design and elements of architecture and landscape architecture. Street furniture is playing more and more a role in urban planning and further city income by outdoor advertising. Urban design tends to suggest a serious collective concern for three-dimensional space and as much consideration for the public areas between or beneath buildings as for the buildings themselves.
