Rockumentary

The term rockumentary is a neologism denoting a television or movie documentary about rock and roll or its musicians. It was coined by Rob Reiner in the mockumentary film This Is Spinal Tap. Examples include Monterey Pop (Monterey Festival), Woodstock (Woodstock festival), The Last Waltz (final concert by The Band), Gimme Shelter (The Rolling Stones at Altamont), Stop Making Sense (Talking Heads), "The Kids are Alright" (The Who), "Don't Look Back" (Bob Dylan), and the parody This Is Spinal Tap.
