Rick FuschiRick Fuschi (born August 16, 1948 in Rome, Italy) is a conservative political activist currently involved with the Conservative Party of Canada in Windsor, Ontario. Fuschi has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor. He has been employed at what is now the Daimler Chrysler Corporation since 1969, and has operated a family metal-production business since 1978. He has also served in the Windsor Regiment reserve militia since 2002. Fuschi ran as a candidate of the Canadian Alliance in a 2002 by-election in Windsor West. He finished third with 5,420 votes, about 8,500 votes behind New Democrat Brian Masse, the winner. The Canadian Alliance merged with the Progressive Conservative Party in early 2004, and Fuschi joined the new party. He ran in WindsorTecumseh in the 2004 federal election, again placing finished third with 9,827 votes. It may be noted that neither the Canadian Alliance nor the Progressive Conservative Party had a strong historical support base in Windsor. Fuschi has frequently criticized the Liberal Party as being anti-American. With reference to the Liberal Party's long tenure in government, he once wrote the following: One of the Greek philosophers is quoted as describing democracy as a system, whereby ten fools hold sway over nine wisemen. Surely that philosopher was speaking of Canada. Only fools continue to re-elect a government which is as visibly inadequate, and dangerously jealous of its powers as that of Jean Chretien, and now, Paul Martin.http://rickfuschi.com/aboutRick.html External links - http://www.voterick.com/wordpress/index.php?cat=5
