petit juror (dict)

Petit Juror

  jury or jury trial.
A petit juror is a term used in United States law to describe a member of the petit jury, the jury that hears a trial. This is in contrast to a grand jury that hears only testimony and evidence to determine whether there is a case to be answered and hence whether the accused should be indicted and sent for trial.
