Ochakov

Ochakov is a town in Mykolayivs'ka oblast', in southern Ukraine, located near the site of ancient Greek colony of Olbia. The city lies at the Dnieper-Southern Bug estuary and on the Black Sea. The fortress that later became town Ochakov was built in 1492 by a Crimean khan. The city name is associated with several important military events in different wars.
