Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Marjorie Pay Hinckley (November 23, 1911April 6, 2004) was the wife of LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley. Marjorie Pay was born in Nephi, Utah. She had four sisters and two brothers, but one brother died in infancy. She married Gordon on April 29, 1937. She became known as the "first lady" of the LDS church when he succeeded as president in 1995. At the time of her death, she was known to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide as a friendly, caring woman.
