Products

Juniper's products include E-series, M-series, and T-series families of routers, and the SDX Service Deployment System.
  • E-series routers are infranet broadband edge routers.
  • M-series routers are infranet multiservice edge routers.
  • T-series routers are infranet core routers.
  • J-Series routers are small, enterprise oriented routers.
  • NetScreen security devices.
The E series routers run the JUNOSe operating software. The E series was developed by Unisphere, which Juniper acquired in 2002 from Siemens. The M & T series routers are based on a common architecture and the Juniper Operating System JUNOS. While the E, M, and T series are all high speed devices capable of terminating multiple broadband optical connections, the J series is much lower in speed. Capable of terminating DS3 (45 Mb/s) and slower lines, this product line is aimed at corporate branch offices. With the J-series, Juniper extends its target market from service providers to the enterprise market. NetScreen devices provide wire speed firewall and encryption service.
