). The story, based on the movie

Ricki Lake
, is of a girl named Tracy Turnblad (Winokur) whose dream is to dance on the
Corny Collins Show
. Late in 2003, Winokur was replaced with
One Life to Live
actress
Kathy Brier
in the role of Tracy Turnblad. In 2004, 19-year-old actress
Carly Jibson
replaced Brier in the role of Tracy Turnblad, while actor
Michael McKean
replaced
Harvey Fierstein
in the role of Tracy's mother, Edna Turnblad.
