Fredonia is a city located in Logan County, North Dakota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 51.

Geography

Fredonia is located at 46°19'43" North, 99°5'43" West (46.328564, -99.095260). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 51 people, 22 households, and 13 families residing in the city. The population density is 82.0/km² (212.9/mi²). There are 30 housing units at an average density of 48.3/km² (125.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 3.92% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 22 households out of which 27.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.1% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.9% are non-families. 36.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.32 and the average family size is 3.08. In the city the population is spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 2.0% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 88.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.0 males. The median income for a household in the city is $25,313, and the median income for a family is $36,250. Males have a median income of $21,563 versus $6,875 for females.
