Etin Inan

etin Inan is one of Turkey's most famous film directors, having directed movies for the past five decades.

Biography

Born in Ankara in 1941, Inan spent his youth pursuing a career in Law. At the age of twenty-five he made his first movie Dort Yanim Cehennem and abandoned his career in law. He quickly moved into the niche market of producing erotica, but was dissuaded from that path as Turkey moved towards a fundamentalist Islamic state. His next venture was action movies, including his most famous work Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam, a space saga commonly dubbed the "Turkish Star Wars". Today he continues to direct, although his passion has since been funneled into Turkish television programmes likes Cilgin Bedis and the more recent Karaoglan.
