Arne Anka

Arne Anka is a discontinued Swedish comic strip by Charlie Christensen. The title character closely resembles Donald Duck (who is called "Kalle Anka" in Swedish). (Some inspiration from the name probably comes from Swedish TV sports commentator, Arne Hegerfors, known as "Arne Anka" for his fast duck-like speech.) The likeness is only, however, feather deep. Arne is a Swedish alcoholic poet and amateur philosopher, who is often flat broke. Four Arne Anka comic albums have been published. Arne Anka has also been produced as a play at Stockholms stadsteater with Robert Gustafsson as Arne.
