Ann Todd

Ann Todd (January 24 1909-May 6 1993) was born in Hartford, Cheshire and was educated at St Winifrid's School in Eastbourne. She was married three times. Her first husband Victor Malcolm was a grandson of Lillie Langtry. Her second (Nigel Tangye) and third husband (Sir David Lean) were first cousins. She became a popular actress in such films as Perfect Strangers (1945) (as a nurse) and The Seventh Veil (1947) (as a troubled concert pianist). She later produced a series of travel films.
