All The Troubles Of The World

All the Troubles of the World is a science fiction short story written by Isaac Asimov. It deals with a society controlled by one massive supercomputer. (needs fixing) The supercomputer churns out a list of future crimes and their probability of happening. One man is predicted to try and depose the supercomputer, and he is taken away. It is really his son who is plotting murder, although he doesn't know it. The boy escapes house arrest to try and rescue his father. First he goes to a computer terminal to ask the supercomputer a question. It replies by telling him specific instructions to get to a control panel. On the way he is arrested, and the boy's story ends, but the govenor hears of it, and uses his terminal to ask the computer a question, "Do you want to die".
