W. C. AlleeWarder Clyde Allee (June 5, 1885 - March 18, 1955) was an American zoologist and ecologist who taught animal ecology at the University of Chicago. He is best known for his research on animal behavior, protocooperation, and for identifying the Allee effect. Allee was born in Bloomingdale, Indiana and died in Gainesville, Florida.
