Vinci, Italy

Vinci is a town and comune (township) of Firenze province in the Italian region of Tuscany, at 26 m (85 ft) above sea level. The population was 13,900 according to the 2003 census. The area of the comune is 54 sq. km. The town is best known as the birthplace of Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.
