Michael N. Castle

Michael Newbold Castle (born July 2, 1939) is an American politician who was Governor of Delaware from 1985 to 1992 and has represented Delaware as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1993. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Castle attended Hamilton College and Georgetown University Law School. He served in both the Delaware State House of Representatives and the Delaware State Senate, and became Delaware's Deputy Attorney General, Lieutenant Governor and Governor before his election to the House in 1992. He currently chairs the Subcommittee on Education Reform.
