Guipzcoa

Guipzcoa (Basque Gipuzkoa, Spanish Guipzcoa, in English sometimes as Guipuscoa) is a province of northern Spain, in the northeastern part of the autonomous community of the Basque Country. It is bordered by the provinces of Vizcaya, lava, and Navarre, and by France and the Bay of Biscay. Its area of 1,980 sq.km. makes it the smallest province in Spain. Its population is 682,977 (2002), of whom about a quarter live in the capital, San Sebastin (Basque Donostia, Spanish San Sebastin).
