Gahal (acronym for Gush Herut-Liberalim) is a right-wing Zionist party formed in 1965 by members of the Herut and Liberal parties. The block joined the national unity government in Israel during the Six Day War. In 1973, Gahal combined with other right wing and centre parties to form Likud.
