Fontainebleau

• The Royal Chteau de Fontainebleau, where the Renaissance was introduced to France from 1528 onwards.
• The beautiful Fontainebleau forest a royal hunting park often visited by walkers and horse riders. The forest is also home to the best bouldering in the world, and is visited almost religiously by many of the world's climbers.
• The graves of G. I. Gurdjieff and Katherine Mansfield in the cemetery at Avon.
