Audrey TautouAudrey Tautou (born August 9, 1978) is a French actress, born in Beaumont, Puy-de-Dme, France. In 2000, she won the Prix Suzanne Bianchetti as her country's most promising young film actress. She is best known to English moviegoers as the title character in the multi-award winning movie Amlie (2001, Le Fabuleux destin d'Amlie Poulain), but at the time of Amlie she was already well-known in France as the star of Vnus beaut (institut) (1999). Tautou is widely rumored to be engaged to writer Lance Mazmanian but to date the situation remains unconfirmed (see various stories and interviews below). Audrey Tautou also has a reputation for taking pictures of every reporter who interviews her. She takes these pictures at the end of every interview.
